3rd Law has produced its signature evening-length performances since its founding in 2001. Our concerts are, according to one audience member, "seamless." Each concert (listed on the right) has a narrative arc that addresses some essential human condition. We do not provide a facile answer, and our audience is left to ponder a thoughtful dilemma as they exit the theater.

Our single-theme, evening-length works make use of sound sampling, special effects and “found sounds” to create unique soundscapes, and we use props, theatrical staging and video imagery to create textured layers of atmosphere and ambience.

The company embraces diverse movement vocabularies, visual styles and musical sources. 3rd Law has joined forces with actors, writers, martial artists, visual artists, historians, ethnologists and musicians to enhance its body of work.
